Comprehensive Creative Direction and Design
In the transformative "Journey of Stories" film series, my creative involvement was multifaceted. I was entrusted not only with the UI/UX design of the website but also with several key aspects of the film's visual and experiential presence. This included creating the logo, designing the film poster, crafting custom typography for the film, and assisting with the environment design for the premiere event.
The logo for "Journey of Stories" was a pivotal element, encapsulating the essence of the series in a single, memorable symbol. The film poster, another critical piece of the visual identity, was designed to intrigue and invite viewers, blending storytelling elements with compelling imagery. The typography used in the film was carefully crafted to complement and enhance the narrative, adding an additional layer of depth and engagement.
For the premiere event of "Detroit X," the first installment in the series, the environment design was a key aspect of the experience. My role extended to ensuring that the physical space of the premiere reflected the themes and mood of the film, creating an immersive and resonant environment for attendees.
Being a part of the "Journey of Stories" from conceptualization to realization was an opportunity to push creative boundaries. My work across various aspects of the project — from digital platforms to physical spaces — was aimed at creating a cohesive and impactful narrative experience, celebrating the richness of Detroit's Black community and bringing their stories to the forefront.
